Hello everyone,
My name is Ye Hong and my preferred name is Gracie. I come from Xiamen, which is a sub-provincial city in the south-east of Fujian province in China. My hometown is well-known for its mild climate, Hokkien culture, and Gulangyu Island. Several years ago, it was also ranked as the second most suitable city for living and the most romantic leisure city in China.
I have been living in Victoria for almost three years and this is also my third year studying in the University of Victoria. Similar to most Chinese students, my major is Economics as well. In my opinion, this major will be directly and significantly related to my interest and will affect the choice of my future career as well. My current educational goal is to graduate from Uvic as soon as possible. After I graduate, I plan to find a job, which is connected with my major in Victoria or Vancouver for at least two years first.
